Health Professionals Training

This training module , jointly developed by the Human Trafficking Collaborative at the University of Michigan and the Region V Public Health Training Center, will help healthcare workers identify victims of human trafficking and know what to do if they encounter a victim of human trafficking within a healthcare setting.

For clarification on legal protections for 16 and 17-year old minor sex trafficking victims, the Commission strongly urges viewers to refer to the Attorney General’s fact sheet.

Healthcare workers and public health professionals across disciplines including but not limited to health educators, nurses, administrators, environmental health workers, and community health workers

The Michigan Human Trafficking Commission, together with the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan, has created a one-hour video training on Human Trafficking for health professionals. It is also available for public viewing.
